the Epiphany of the Century: I hate Christmas.

Re: Video.

although I’m thrilled for the little boy in the video, and I really feel for him, I can’t help being materialistic and bitter about all the shitty stuff I got for Christmas. :\

I know that Christmas isn’t about the presents and all that crap, but still. I miss being excited while opening gifts. you may or may not know what’s inside the wrapper, but just knowing the gift to be something amazing is a feeling I extremely miss. for the past years, I’ve been getting really terrible gifts. and by terrible I mean generic ones like clothes and crap. the kind of presents you know no amount of thought or effort was put into it. the kind of presents you know you can do without. the kind of presents you could’ve easily bought for yourself; those kinds of gifts. it’s just a shitty feeling. and probably the main reason why I’ve grown to not enjoy Christmas.

I know it’s shallow. I know it’s beneath me. and I know I’m suppose to be all mature about it. but I can’t help it.

and even seeing how affectionate and happy the parents are at the sight of their kids being happy is something that really struck hard and deep. I miss that, though I don’t think I ever experienced that with any of my relatives, even my mom (who has the ability to give everybody else spectacular gifts except her own son.)

my mom didn’t give me anything for Christmas. I hate being emotional about it, but yeah. as I said before, I honestly can’t help it.

Happy Fuckin’ Christmas to me. I sincerely hope that your Christmas was better that mine was. :)
